 Known for his heart to reach families, Pastor Monty Trammel has created a variety of ministries aimed at people of all ages. Since coming to Gospel Baptist Church in 1988, he has overseen its growth into one of the county's largest churches. Before his start as a senior pastor, he served many years in both adult and youth ministry, and his passion for kids, teens, and adults is seen in the emphasis that GBC places on reaching those age groups along with their families.

Born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio, Pastor Monty has a wonderful testimony of being saved as a high schooler while growing up in a Pastor's home. He and his wife Lori were married in 1980 and have two children. Matt and his wife Annie (and grandson, Abraham!), and daughter Emily.

  Matt officially started working at GBC part time in the summer of 1997, but he has been on full time staff since 2002. Matt's family started attending here when he was just a teenager, and he immediately got involved, serving in a wide variety of volunteer ministries on his way up through our children's and youth programs. Today, he directs our Children's Department and oversees the many aspects of helping people connect and move into the life of the church including Adult singles ministries and many other aspects of the church.

Matt was born and raised in Bucyrus, Ohio, and is an avid fan of Ohio State University. GO BUCKEYES! He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield Missouri. Having grown up in the local area, Matt has enjoyed returning to Gospel to serve as the Children's Pastor.

  Zach Swift came on staff in October of 2007. Zach and his wife Brittany come to us from Hillsboro Ohio. Zach comes to GBC with a heart for God, music, and students. Currently, he assists in multiple areas in the Church, but his primary focus is to lead worship and help see to the needs of our students and their families. Zach's heart for the ministry allows him to be in his element at Gospel Baptist Church, whether leading worship or connecting with young people.

Zach and his wife, Brittany, met in their hometown of Hillsboro. They have 2 children, daughter Ivy who \"doesn't know a stranger\" and a son Tate. Zach loves to play guitar, write songs, collecting tractors, and spending time with his family.

When you call Gospel Baptist Church, you will hear the friendly voice of our secretary, Nancy Orr. She has been our church secretary since 1998. Nancy and her husband, Dan have a prison ministry called SoundWord Ministries (www.soundwordministries.com) which reaches hundreds of inmates a year for the cause of Jesus Christ.
